We stayed at Canyon Creek and could not have been happier! Our boys did the Powdercat snowboarding and had the time of their lives!!

We stayed at the Lodge (2007, 2008). Service and amenities were excellent ... that's why we came back and likely will return again. Only used the shuttles a couple of times, no problem walking to/from slopes --- even returned to condo for lunch.

Hi,
Our family has stayed at Steamboat four times, once at The Antlers and three times at Ptarmigan House. We love Steamboat as a friendly family resort with amazing Champagne Powder, great weather and good places for apres ski dining both in the mountain village and downtown. The kids (now 10 and 8yrs) were in ski schoool most days and got to level 7 and 5 respectively. They love it and make lots of friends.
The signoficant thing this year (2010) was how many Aussies were holidaying there - a reflection of the strong A$ and strong Australian economy.
I have skiied previously at Vail, Snowmass, Whistler, Aspen and Heavenly at Tahoe but I keep coming back to Steamboat as my preferred ski resort in USA.
Planning to return in Jan 2012.

In year two we tried to lower our costs and stayed with a Non-Steamboat Resort condo unit. Bad mistake!!! Ended up having to rent a car to get around. We will only book a Steamboat Resort condo - the people are great, the shuttle service is second to none (actually no others can even compare!), and the condos have all been great!!
